✅ Prioritize children’s nutrition in the summer. Encourage them to drink plenty of water. Since children may not express thirst, offer water regularly. Children under 6 months should be given plenty of breast milk. Start offering solid foods to babies; they can also have coconut water.
✅ You can give porridge or liquid foods to babies. It will keep their stomach cool.
✅ Instead of fruit juice, give them sliced fruits. They won’t get fiber from fruit juice, so sliced fruits are better. Give seasonal fruits like bananas, watermelon, and muskmelon.
✅ You can give bottle gourd, ridge gourd, papaya, and raw mango dal.
✅ In the summer, sour yogurt isn’t just tasty; it’s beneficial too! However, if you mix sugar during preparation, the probiotic properties may be lost. Avoid adding sugar/flavor. You can mix dates/jaggery or any fruit for sweetness when eating sour yogurt.
Note:
❌ Avoid giving packaged juices to children.
❌ Avoid giving sugary foods.
❌ Avoid fried foods.
❌ Avoid fast food.
