Chicken Pizza Made on Stove

Ingredients:

For dough:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Lukewarm water
  • Oil

For toppings:

  • Assorted vegetables/capsicum of different colors
  • Onions
  • Cooked/shredded chicken pieces
  • Sausages
  • Mozzarella cheese (grated)
  • Oregano
  • Crushed black pepper
  • Black olives
  • Tomato sauce

Instructions:

Preparing the Dough:

  1. First, warm the milk and mix in the sugar until dissolved. Sprinkle yeast over it and let it sit for 5 minutes covered.
  2. After 5 minutes, add flour, sugar, and salt. The yeast should be a little frothy. If not, the pizza crust won’t rise properly.
  3. Knead well with oil. Make a smooth dough and keep it in a large bowl, covering it in a warm place for 1 hour.

Making the Pizza:

  1. Prepare the toppings by chopping the vegetables and slicing the onions finely.
  2. After an hour, when the pizza dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 3 equal portions.
  3. Roll out each portion into a thick disc like a roti.
  4. Spread tomato sauce over each disc and sprinkle cheese on top.
  5. Add capsicum, chicken pieces, sausages, and onions on top.
  6. Sprinkle some more cheese over it and then add oregano, black olives, and crushed black pepper.
  7. Heat a pan and place the pizza on it. Cover and cook on high heat for 3-4 minutes.
  8. Then reduce the flame to low and cook for another 8-10 minutes until the cheese melts and the base becomes crispy.
  9. Serve hot.

Note: If baking in an oven, preheat the oven to 190-200 degrees Celsius and bake the pizza for 15-20 minutes.
