Ingredients:
- 400 grams of small fish, cleaned
- 1 cup of chopped onions
- 3/4 pieces of green chili
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/3 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 raw mango, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup of chopped tomatoes
- Sugar, to taste
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 2 teaspoons of chopped coriander leaves (optional)
Instructions:
- Clean the fish thoroughly and drain the water.
- In a pan, mix all the powdered spices, chopped onions, sliced raw mango, and fish. Mix gently with your hands.
- Add half a cup of water, cover, and cook on low heat for 10 to 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, add chopped tomatoes, cover, and cook for some more time until the gravy thickens.
- Once the gravy thickens, add sugar, green chilies, and chopped coriander leaves. Stir well and let it simmer for a few more minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve hot with steamed rice.
